Resolved: The Run Around

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My wife bought a 2008 Nissan Sentra from Fred Beans, she was told that the light was on for low tire pressure. The first day my wife stopped to put air in the tires...one was at 16 lbs and the others at 24 lbs. We took the car in three times and the problem still was not fixed, my wife having to continue to put air in the tires. We took the car in one more time and asked for new tires (because the tires were showing the wear of running on low air pressure). My wife was called and told the car was ready to pick up....she got there and had to wait a half hour and the car was brought out with dirty muddy tires (junk yard). She now wants to tell Fred Beans to stick this car up his *** Also my wife was told that the Nissan Sentra has an oil change right before she bought it....she thought the car was running a little rough so she went somewhere else and had the oil changed and the oil was black as tar (we have a sample of it) and we showed the service man the oil and he claimed that was normal after 2,000 miles.

1999 Ford F150 Red pickup sold to my son

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
sold us a truck that was totally unsafe to sell to anyone let alone my son this truck is a fire hazard had it for 14 days and a 175 miles and the drive went out come to find out after 2 weeks in AAMCO shop that the transmission went and reason for that was the wiring harness and wires and totally burnt. They best be making good on an unsafe truck. Not a happy buyer of FRED BEANS nor a HAPPY MOTHER that they sold my son an unsafe truck a true FIRE HAZARD Now AAMCO rebuilt the trans and trying to find a wiring harness that is obsolete my son has a job to get to and bought a truck at a dealership figuring we would have no problems boy what a joke

Experience with Fred Beans Hyundai of Doylestown

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I had an 8:00 appointment on 6/21 for an inspection and oil change Fred Beans Hyundai of Doylestown, and was told by Joe in the "service" department when I made the appointment that the entire appointment would take an hour to an hour and a half at most. I arrived at 7:55 and checked in.

After waiting for an hour and 45 minutes Joe came over to me and told me my truck wouldn't pass inspection because the tail lights were cracked. He then proceeded to tell me they could replace them for $560, with the breakdown being $220 for each of the tail lights and $120 for labor. When I questioned the exorbitant costs, Joe claimed that was their cost. I instructed him not to replace them and that I would do it myself. He then said they had to put the wheels back on and then I'd be ready to go shortly. 45 minutes later I finally got called to check out. An hour to hour and a half appointment was instead 2 1/2 hours.

I bought the tail lights online for $55 each and replaced them myself in 15 minutes. That means that Fred Beans Hyundai markup was over 300% and (assuming a trained mechanic could replace them at least as quickly as I, a computer programmer, could), Fred Beans Hyundai was charging $480/hour for labor. That is beyond asinine.

As if that wasn't bad enough, I made an appointment through the online booking system to bring the truck back in for inspection at 3:45 on 6/24. I got a phone call from Joe Friday morning telling me I needed to change the appointment because that wasn't enough time, even though I scheduled it through Fred Beans Hyundai's scheduling system and I had been in only 2 days earlier. He told me the appointment would take an hour.

I found Joe to be pompous, sleazy, and misinformed at best and an outright liar at worst. Between the horrible wait times, terrible customer service, and exorbitant prices, this has been the single worst experience I've ever had with any car dealership. I will never again take my business to any Fred Beans dealership and Hyundai is questionable for allowing this type of service and price gouging to occur at one of their dealerships.

You guys have to stop being ANTISEMITIC

Original review May 26, 2016
After 15 cars bought or leased from Fred Beans Hyundai I took my business elsewhere. Today we went to a dealer that is not antisemitic and treats people honestly.

My daughter and I both leased 2016 Tucsons and got fantastic deals. Three weeks ago my other daughter and her husband purchased a Ford Edge. Next year there will be another car sale we will take from Fred all because your finance manager bulb is burned out.

This dealer also has lost an anti discrimination suit against a former female employee because Fred Beans has trouble keeping his mouth shut. I hope Tim Bergey will thank The Finance Manager from taking 3 sales away from him.

This issue will never be resolved. Fred is a very stubborn person and he treats people like they are second class citizens.

I have no idea how anyone could work for him. I forgot all his management are his kids.

Worst

the worst purchase all my life. i really would love to give minus star. i bought a truck 2008 f350. while selling, they say like a brand new and i believed them. on test drive i realized that steering wheel was not straight and salesperson said that it is fine we can figured it out. i bought truck with full price (whatever they asked no bargain) and i also bought 75,000 miles warranty which one salesperson said $3,6xx next day another salesperson said $4290.00 because it is diesel. i agreed and bought. one week after i went there with 4 problems. (drove 1000 miles) 1) steering wheel not straight : they said it is balanced but we switched the wheels (they put right tire to the left, left tire to the right) before they switch tires steering wheel was aslope to left, after they switch tires steering wheel was aslope to right ???? 2) cruise control not working : they did something and it started to work. i used 5 or 6 times and done again. doesn't work at all. 3) driver side front break was done after 1000 miles driving ???? they changed rotor and breaks for free. thanks to them. i don't know how truck past inspection with that much worse breaks ? 4) sound around driver side front wheel: they said that it was about breaks. you will not be hearing anymore. i went there for free oil change and figure the problems out today (3-24-2016) i had 4 problems: 1) steering wheel not straight : this time they said that tires are fine but if you would like to make steering wheel straight, you need to upgrade tires ???? i said no. i don't want to upgrade my tires i bought that truck less than 2 months ago. they said we can't do anything... i understand that whatever i tried to explain they don't accept their fault. asks money all the time. 2) cruise control not working : at the beginning they asked $100 for fixing when i said that it was not working, they barely accept to replace it. 3) sound and licking around driver front side : the sound that i complained before i was increased and i noticed oil marks under the truck where i parked. they asked $200 because there is something they need to clean or fix. i even don't understand because saying 100 things before get to the point. 4) they charged $438.xx for registering weight class 8 but they registered weight class 5 which costs $268.xx. i got my money back barely. if i didn't notice they were going to keep my money for themself. they returned $155.00. i need to register my truck and trailer again for gcwr which cost around $500. people who work there they don't know what they do! they were asking their money all the time but they don't care how much you spend because of their fault. honestly, point is not money only! point is they fooled me as a customer!!! i feel like i bought a truck from unknown dealer from unknown place. i feel so upset and unsatisfied. i feel like somebody ripped me off. congratulate them! you guys made a super cool sales. this business doesn't have business ethics for sure. if i read all comments on the internet before i go there, i would never go there for sure. thanks for reading. it is now up to you buying something from ford fred beans of doylestown.

Improper License Plate Tranfer at Lease Signing = Hours of Aggravation

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
At the time of the signing of our new car lease, we requested that our trade-in vehicle plates be used for this new car. They said that would not be a problem. 40 days later it is still a problem, as they never did do the tag transfer. I called the Dept of Motor Vehicles in my state and they said I needed to contact the leasing company. I wasted a morning off from work, only to go to the Dept of Motor Vehicles and find that I was sent the wrong letter from the Hyundai leasing company. All told, I've wasted of 40 days & close to 10 hours of my time that could have been avoided, if taken care of properly at the time of the lease signing. I called the local Hyundai lease finance folks and they confirmed that it should have only taken a few minutes at the time of the lease signing, to have our old plates transferred to the new car.

Lied to - Fred Beans GMC Doylestown, PA

I found a car I liked at Fred Beans GMC in Doylestown. I had already been working with Fred Beans Toyota in Flemington, NJ, so my sales rep from NJ came with me to PA to make sure everything was good for the sale.

I was told REPEATEDLY to my face from the PA dealership that my NJ salesman would receive part of the commission for helping me with the car. Fred Beans of Doylestown waited until I bought the car then stiffed my salesman of any commission.

If I had known they were going to do that, I would have had the car taken to the NJ dealership and bought it there!

Shameful business practices

Went to Fred beans Hyundai looking for a car for my daughter and found a good car at a great deal. Had a purchase agreement drawn up at 5 pm and proceeded to obtain my own bank financing for a anticipated closing the following day.

When I called at 9 am the next morning to set up the final purchase at Fred beans, after a run around they inform me they sold the car. I like the fact they advertise return in 3 days if not satisfied or the exchange for another car in 30 days but they forgot to tell me about the you got too good of deal program so we'll sell it out from under you.

Dan Corradini, the Manager, there are bottom feeders....then there is you! Worst part is having to break news to an excited 17 yr old.

Fred Beans Oil Change Review

I went there for a oil change and told them I was in a hurry and had a appointment. I know they do a inspection of the car when doing a oil change and I specifically asked them not to to expedite the process and did it anyway. A hour later I missed my appointment.
