Lied to

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

This was at the Chevy dealership. We were promised a certain amount for our trade in.

The offered the lowest because they said it needed work and all new tires. They didn’t even bother to look at our trade in. Had they looked at it they would have seen there was absolutely nothing was wrong with our trade in and it had brand new tires. It sat in the same parking spot the whole time we were there.

The trade in value at the lowest should have been 2100.00. They offered 1400.00. I said no. They the.

Offered 1700.00. I reluctantly said ok. However when signing the papers I said this still says 1400.00 for trade in. They said “oh we took it off the cost of the truck”.

I stupidly signed everything. When going over the paperwork, they did not take it off the cost of the truck. They just didn’t want to redid the paperwork. We were also supposed to get a discount because of where my husband works.

They did not do that either. So today I went back to pick up my truck because I had to pay like 750.00 for key fobs that the truck did not come with. When I spoke to someone there in finance about everything. He said well you signed what was agreed upon.

I told him what was promised. He basically called me a liar and said we don’t know that that truly was said.

DO NOT BUY FROM FRED BEANS. THEY WILL ROYALLY SCREW YOU OVER

I had a similar experience many years ago with a use car I bought at Fred Beans in Doylestown. It started burning oil like crazy, and white smoke and water were coming out of the exhaust.

It was still under warranty, but just barely.

They told me I'd have to burn a few more quarts of oil up before they could tell if it was REALLY burning oil---I guess they thought I was just a stupid girl, but I did have enough sense to know that driving it like that would surely void my warranty, plus the warranty would have run out anyway, so I went to a different garage who confirmed it was a blown head gasket. So Beans was forced to fix it, but they didn't bother to re-adjust the clutch afterwards, so it didn't run right unless you kept your foot on the clutch a little, and they refused to correct that as part of the warranty work.

As a past employee , I agree with you, Fred Beans managers ARE ALL LIARS !!! DAVID MULLEN IS A LIAR , A THIEF AND A COWARD !!!

Beans will look you in the eye, lie to you, and then avoid You! They have no soul and should be a shamed of themselves.

Go to public records and see how many times they have been sued by customers and former employees. MANY TIMES !!!!

Nothing was done and they Fred Beans refused to come get the broken vehicle and would not give a loaner. Avoid this dealership at all lengths.

Worst experience ever !

I purchased a used truck from Fred beans ford in Langhorne, the old MCcafferty ford , they sold it knowingly with a bad front wheel hub , and just inspected it as well which doesn’t pass inspection . They also changed oil but never put a sticker in vehicle or reset set the oil change in computer so when it was at gm for wheel hub I paid to have oil changed , they also said tires were just balanced bc they put new ones on I had that checked and not one tire was balanced , contacted used car mgr and all he said was sorry , I’m a former employee at the Doylestown location and service tech I have referred lots of people to purchase cars up there but never again will I do it worst experience ever ! Sorry you service has gotten this bad !

Horrible experience here! I went in to purchase a new truck, they gave me one price and then complained about matching the price they quoted me 3 days earlier!!!!!!

And then when I proceeded to compare vehicles of the same trim level from their sister company, the sales manager had to get involved and told me that they couldn’t help me anymore they are already losing too much money...... ahhhhh are you kidding me? All you did is match your previously quoted price and then put your feet up. WORST experience ever!!!!

I got up and said thanks for wasting my time and left!

Will NEVER go back there and will tell everyone I know to stay away. Did I say HORRIBLE yet!

Lack of follow-up on promised attempt at warranty resolution.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Purchased a 2014 Explorer - on CPO program [Certified Pre-Owned] JULY 2017. Seven weeks after purchase, discovered the paint on the hood lip bubbling [a know issue on 2013 Explorers]. Returned to Fred Beans; they did endeavor to have Ford Motor Company repair- with a shared expense to me [again, seven weeks of ownership]. I decided.

By February 2018, the winter conditions significantly advanced the paint loss, and corrosion at the hood lip worsened nearly to the point of perforation. Another return to the dealer brought agreement that the hood needed to be replaced, and a request for warranty coverage was made. This was denied by Ford Motor Company; although a shared repair was offered [about $1000. cost to me]. I escalated the claim, engaging a Factory Representative to review the case. This required a third visit and inspection by Fred Beans. This claim was again declined and a very rude and officious Ford Motor Company Customer Service Representative stated in no uncertain terms that this was her "last and final offer", citing that the 'perforation warranty covers only actual surface perforation'. Please note that aluminum - as used in these hoods - rarely actually 'perforates'. It 'corrodes', as is the case in my and other affected units.

I engaged -- and continue to engage -- the assistance of the service manage at Fred Beans, who did state on previous occasions that he would "go to bat" for me for a fair resolution, given the know issues with paint loss and corrosion on 2013 and early 2014 Explorers, and the recommendation by the Fred Beans Paint and Body facility that a replacement was required and a just claim, given the severity of the damage. Additionally, he stated that he would approach the Fred Beans store management for authorization for the store to assist in the co-pay of a replacement hood. Sadly, any follow-up on Fred Beans Ford has had to be at my initiating. Here we are 11 months after the initial report of the defect, and despite promises from the service manage that he will follow up with me, no contact has been made since my previous contacts reaching out to him, 8 weeks ago.

It appears that Ford Motor Company is 'waiting me out' to the point of the vehicle mileage then exceeds that of the perforation warranty.

My rating for Fred Beans is with my full understanding of the involvement of Ford Motor Company in this claim; rather my rating is based on zero follow-through on the promise of support and updated status reports from Fred Beans.

Fred Beans steals your money!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I ran a credit check for a vehicle in October. I was approved.

I put a security deposit on the vehicle. I waited months and was never contacted. when I contacted the company they told me I had to come in for another credit check. They told me I failed that credit check.

I have yet to see my car or my security deposit. THEY ROBBED ME BLIND! It has been 6 months now.

I have personally spoke to the manager of this operation and Fred Beans himself.

They are not willing to do anything to help out and go out of their ways to avoid any contact with me. I can not believe a place like this is still in business and until the day I die I will spread the word to every man woman and child I come into contact with that this organization (laughable) is the lowest of the low and even though they hide their nefarious behavior behind clean pressed suits, smiles, and firm hands shakes, they are no more than thieves!

Deception

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

They advertise prices of 17,000 off msrp. Nothing can be further from the truth.

I asked them to list all the rebates and see which ones and the amounts I didnt qualify for. They ignored my request i was then told that being from NJ I didnt qualify for the mid Atlantic rebate. I went to Ram website and sure enough NJ ,De,MD PA are in that region. I would rather pay more than to sit there and be lied to.

Furthermore they half value your trade and lie about that.

They can keep their truck and I will buy from an honest dealer. Buyer beware dont go here without being fully informed.

HORRIBLE Dealership

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

By far, the worst experience I have ever had with a car dealership. Purchased the car not even a year ago.

It had a recall issue that both the dealership and carfax indicate they are not responsible for knowing. Though they did know about the minor recall- it's concerning they didn't know about the major recall. The car has been back and forth to their service department about 4-5 times - soon to be a 6th for the same issue. The 5th time I went back was due to them not fixing something correctly - which they openly admitted.

Add on the fact, that it's about a 45 minute drive to and from this delaership. Now, for about 2 weeks - almost going on 3 - I have been trying to contact SOMEONE about discussing a trade in for such a horrid car as the car was having the same issues AGAIN. I spoke with one sales person on the phone who was rather rude when I explained my issue and what I was trying to accomplish. He said to come down.

Unfortunately, I could not drive there as I wanted someone to follow me, due to the noises the car was making. I left him a message describing the situation. He never called back. 2 days later I get a call from a different sales person.

I couldn't get him on the phone so I left a message explaining my situation. He never called back. Almost 4 days later I get a phone call and a text message from a different sales person. I explained my situation yet once again via text.

Still have heard nothing back. Not only do these people not return calls - they also apparently do not share information with other sales people - so you need to keep re-explaining your situation - only to have no one call you back. Absolutely horrible service.

If you are buying a used car, I would not use this dealership. They are more interested in the money you want to spend to buy the car and not offer any form of assistance if the car happens to have issues.

Unsafe truck sold

Bought a truck with 80 miles after inspection stickers went on.Heard brake noise.Took it back and they tried to sell me brakes saying they were on the squealers.Good story for the state troopers.Someone needs to go in there and pull their insp.license.Had brakes replaced and all 4 rotors cut.Had horrible squealing afterwards.Called back and was told I didnt deserve a car to drive while they worked on it.I pulled the tire off myself and found the brake hardware digging into the rotor they cut and the pad jammed in the holding bracket with no lube.Gives you a safe feeling when your driving around with your 8 year old in the car.

My son took his 2011 Volvo he bought from the doylestown lot exactly a year ago in for inspection on Tuesday. He picked it up the next day.

It passed fully. As soon as he pulls down the road, of course they are closed now and won’t answer, hears this grinding dragging sound coming from the back end. He called them Thursday demanding they check the car as there were no problems when dropped off. They put 4 Mike’s on while they had it.

The tech told him he believes it may be his brakes to leave it n he had to get a rental. Out of his pocket not theirs. Story sounds similar to yours. They are now trying to get him for $190 for brake/rotor work.

So he went from a fully passed $80 inspection to less than an hour later $200 repair bill plus $150 rental fee.

If anyone can explain that this can happen in the time it has, I’ll fault them a little less. But it does not seem right.

Bought a suv from Fred Beans, about 20 days later the front tire blew out. Went to change it to find evey lug nut completely stripped on every wheel. Had to have it towed to local shop to have the spare put on cause Fred Beans wouldn’t accept any responsibility, even though they just inspected the car when they sold it to me
